    • Alas the city didn't reserve significant room south of Henday when developing new neighborhoods. Especially when you consider the long term plans for getting to and from Devon.
They did the same thing on 91st St south of Henday this was at one time planned to connect to QE2 to allow easy traffic flow at least to Whitemud.

      • Sundance, the province has a corridor reserved, theres enough room and a freeway has always been the long term plans... go look at the ASP and NSP.

            • No overpasses, no changing of the offramps, just more lanes. Sigh! Just start at the north end and fix the Whitemud to Terwilligar ramps and then go to the 40th Avenue intersection and so on as funds come available. Do it right the first time. Way cheaper in the long run then this interim solution that actually just makes bigger roads.

              • Pretending that the Whitemud/Terwillegar interchange doesn't need a complete reconfiguration in the next 10-20 years is asinine. That's essentially what council has decided.

                • It sounds like the staging of this project is changing and it is delayed. They will only complete from the Whitemud to Rabbit Hill RD. Originally, the upgrades to Whitemud were not supposed to happen until Stage 2, which is crazy. The staging might make more sense now, with the Rainbow Valley Bridges being widened first.
