    and here in Edmonton, we are building dense urban-like routes out to the far flung suburbs.
    and Edmonton has ridership levels per km higher than either already...

      Which goes to show "achieves" is a relative term. Both Houston and Dallas built terrible systems with abysmally low and declining ridership.

      FYI, here is a list of North American light rail transit systems ranked by 2018 annual ridership, weekday ridership and well as average boardings (ridership) per mile. Even with a much less extension system, Edmonton already ranks higher than Dallas and Houston by all of these metrics:
