  • But safety bonuses would cost the companies money. While there's some that would go along with that, a large percentage would not.

The number one purpose of business it to make money. Anything that reduces the money to be made is something that, at some point, will be questioned, weakened or discarded. If companies could be trusted, why would we need OS&H regulations in the first place? Or WCB? Wouldn't companies naturally do what's safest for their workers? And would they cry so loudly anytime that said regulations are updated to strengthen worker safety?

Look at the UCP rollback on farm worker protections. Somehow, every other province manages to operate under regulations like the ones that the UCP just scrapped.

maybe i should have inserted "more qualified" between "new" and "politicians" rather than relying on the satire to be obvious but you are correct if you are prepared to accept that the options are pretty much limited to the same old politicians...

A whole lot better than giving the guys that fired the missiles 10 million $$$ each because they were pretty young and their dad's told them they'd kick the **** out of them if they didn't do it.

You're right, because this is obviously Netanyahu's fault.

                          Not surprised.

Wow, some people on here are really sensitive. Guess it's okay to only make jokes dependent on which side of the political fence you sit.

Works both ways, bud. A lot of people on here that were defending what Trudeau did in the SCN scam and other things, or just remained silent about it, are now in hysteria over Alberta.
