    Downtown Edmonton Community League

    Annual General Meeting 2012

Join us at Yellowhead Brewery, in the historic Shaw Building:

    Tuesday, May 15, 2012
    Registration 6:30 p.m., Meeting 7:00 p.m.
    10229 105 Street NW

    Facebook event – http://www.facebook.com/events/209067125863218/

Special guest speaker this year will be Rick Daviss, Executive Director of the Downtown Arena Project. He will be giving us an update on the status of the project and design of the arena and district.

A Special Resolution will be presented at the AGM to update our society’s bylaws. The proposed bylaws bring our current bylaws up to the standard suggested by the Alberta Societies Act, and are more thorough in terms of describing procedures than our current bylaws.

An update on our new downtown park (105st/102 ave)will also be presented and you will have an opportunity for input and feedback of the progress thus far.

Volunteer for the league by joining a committee:

    - Development Committee
    - Safety Committee
    - Parks Committee
    - Policy Committee
    - Programs Committee (volunteer for events)
    - Membership & Volunteer Committees

Refreshments and snacks will be provided! One drink ticket per DECL membership, cash bar available as well.

$5 DECL memberships will be available at the door!

Come on down, get to know your neighbours, get to know what’s happening in your vibrant downtown community!

Was just putzing around on the website and was surprised by the map on the membership page. The text seems fine, but the shading seems to cover Oliver as well.

Back off Decl LOL... you already got rail town. ;-P
"Do you give people who already use transit a better service, or do you build it where they don't use it in the hopes they might start to use it?" Nenshi

Quite the turnout for DECL tonight... Double our expectations. Excellent report from Rick Daviss on the arena. Delicious beer from yellowhead. A new larger stronger board.
