  • Wanted: Volunteers are urgently needed for the Strathcona Raptor Shelter

Want to get involved? We are looking for help: funding, transporting and rehabiltating. Developing volunteer involvment in the treatment of birds of prey is an integral part of SRS's activities. Currently 3 volunteers donate 5-10 hours of their time weekly.
Do you have what it takes?
    Are you passionate about animals?
Do you have your own transportation?
Then what are you waiting for?! call now 780-922-3024

We look forward to hearing from you.

(note: we a.k.a. Albera Society for Injured Birds of Prey)

You're also welcome to check out our website -
**You have to be 18 years or older to volunteer.

Do you guys have anything to do with the hawks at the Strathcona Science Park?

There's at least two pair (at least last year) that swoop down on cyclists and pedestrians by the ski hill.

      Hey there,
As far as I'm aware of we admit ONLY injured birds of prey. My supervisor is getting back from his vacation later on this week, so I'm gonna run this matter by him. In my opinion, your best bet would be Fish&Wildlife. Hope this helps!

I am an absolute freak about raptors

Amazing birds, their abilities both as hunters and aviators.

Who would I contact re: Promotions...I think we can do something at the Aviation Museum that could help boost awareness and interest.
