I've popped in to Campio a few times since they've opened. I've tried most of their beers, and they're all pretty good to my taste. I lean towards hoppy beers, but even their Abbey Ale was very good. Food has also been excellent in the 3 menu items I've tried (pizza, chicken club, short rib brunch). It's also seemed to be quite well attended, even on sleepy Saturday/Sunday afternoons. Great addition to the area. Their patio will be awesome in the summer, as well.

We were there for brunch yesterday and it was about 1/2 full, but with little advertising thus far and FAMILY FRIENDLY!

Their signature malt beer is delicious.

Campio Abeertasourus and All Malt Lager are their best. Yellowhead has a great new saison, forget the exact name.

Beyond that, my top for Edmonton area are SYC, Endevour and Odd Company. Central Alberta for Blindman and Troubled Monk.

Glad to hear you love SYC! My buddy and his wife are the owners and they've been busy. Haven't seen them much. But it's good to hear they are doing well.

^It's a bit out of the way, but they have a nice tasting room and the beer is great.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the location either.

I think there's a lot of potential there. That giant parking lot/loading dock could pretty easily turn into a small concert venue/street party with no residential anywhere nearby to complain about noise. Sonic 102.9 did something there last summer already.

Oh for sure. Lots of potential for more outdoor amenities and/or concerts.

Does anyone have a t-shirt from Hops Crossing? https://www.hopscrossing.com/

This is a good looking effort. And with Union Hall right in the centre of it.

What's the verdict on Omen brewing? Up the street on 99st from Alley Kat.

I'm not a big fan of Omen. I'm not a dark brew guy and even by Omen's own website they are 'dark beer specialists'. I like IPA's. Gave the Black IPA a go. ugh.

I will also add I go back to many of the breweries and try other drinks or at least check to see it anythings new and different. Most of these micros are constantly changing (not necessarily improving....lol) recipes etc.

I gave them a go shortly after they opened, at the time they had a pale ale and amber ale. Both were good but IMO unremarkable. I do want to go back and give them another shot as I do believe their lineup has expanded as well.
