  • CNIB Redevelopment | Jasper Ave & 120 St | Mixed Use | 35 stories

WAM is looking at redeveloping the current CNIB location at Jasper and 120th. The CNIB would be the main tenant in the podium of a 30 storey residential tower. Braille would be worked into the podium design in a nice and classy touch. They're looking at a start date of Fall 2016.

Looks pretty nice, the podium is kind of unique/different.

It looks great to me. I really like to see some thought going into the design of such features - as long as they don't somehow reduce the utility. (Our War Museum has windows in Morse Code which I thought was a cool idea.)

Love it - the curvature reminds me of the Wynn/Encore. The braile is really cool too.

You got it. It' currently has a funny yellow and red colour scheme.

Wonder how tall will it be? From looking at some renderings, I count about 30 floors above the podium, and the podium's got to be around 4-6 storeys. This sounds to me like it'll be quite tall - maybe almost as tall as Pearl. If that's the case, then like Pearl, you'd be able to spot that thing from quite a distance.
Is there hope for Edmonton? Yes!!! The Oilers? Wait and see.

I don't care for the wide building style. I despise the buildings downtown built like this. The neighboring tower to the west being one of them. It's probably the one thing keeping me from loving the newer Epcor tower too. Wide loads.

Very cool stuff, but these links don't seem to function. Did WAM pull the content down?
