  • Unrealized - Oct 4-25, 2019

Unrealized examines the lesser-known projects that would have shaped Edmonton, and the reasons they did not become a reality.

    About this Event
You can learn as much about a city from its existing buildings as you can from the ones that never made it past the drafting table.

Join us for the Unrealized grand opening event as part of Edmonton Design Week. View the newest exhibit produced by Media Architecture Design Edmonton (MADE) and close out a packed week celebrating Edmonton's design accomplishments with this final event!

Sometimes, dreams are best unrealized... for example, the METS project.
A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices.

Then there’s the over-promised, underwhelmed and so, sadly realized projects.

Yes the revamp of the Edmonton Downtown Library comes to my mind.

I believe my father has some drawing for the round version mentioned in the article.

Had the original design been realized and built it would have really been a major statement. Virtually all of the covered stadiums of that era and even the following decades were simply awful compared to the proposed Omniplex.

A few shots from MADE's Unrealized exhibit at Edmonton City Centre (2nd floor across from Club). It runs from October 4-25.
