  • 2017 Passenger Predictions for YEG

YEG had a little turbulence (pun intended) last year mostly due to the economy, it's time for this years installment of YEG passenger predictions. Hopefully some of the cut routes from 2016 return and we see positive growth again.

Please provide your educated (or uneducated) guesses for the passenger count for 2017 (excluding FBO pax). Price is Right rules are in effect, closest without going over wins (no guesses/entries within 25,000 of another member please).

I will kick it off with my guess and update this thread as the guesses fly in:

FYI - 2016 passenger total was 7,026,918 (not including FBO passengers)

    Doppelganger - 6,900,000
    Sonic Death Monkey - 7,000,000
    The_Cat - 7,035,000
    faraz - 7,097,000
    JayBee - 7,150,000
    Base - 7,175,000
    etownboarder - 7,200,000 (changed from 7,190,010)
    Hilman - 7,272,727

6,900,000 - am assuming one more year of dip even though the overall economy begins to rebound this year.

I want to apologize. YEG did not have the international and trans border flights I wanted on the days I wanted. The airlines also did not have the price point I wanted. Something wrong about cheaper connecting through YQR and YXE.

My journeys will start and end in YEG driving those domestic numbers, but my international and trans order numbers will be going to YYC, YYZ, and YVR.

              I blame the airlines.

^ isn't that too close to Base?

Nice work Hilman. You had the most confidence in YEG and it still wasn’t enough.
