  • Site upgraded to https and vb 5.5.5

Given the vb4 vulnerability that was exposed this week, the site was shut down, reloaded, and upgraded to vb5 with https. https seems to be smoother in vb5, but the upgrade was sluggish.

    Hopefully, this fixes the issue.

love the black and dark green so much easier on the eyes. One issue I found though is where is the login option I only was able to log in after clicking on someone's name and going that route

Thanks for all your hard work!

Has anyone seen if there is a way in the new version to see what posts have been updated since your last visit?  I used to use that all the time so hoping it's somewhere and I just don't see it.

CJ, From my searching it appears in version 5, its something Richard will need to build. I've found a bit of a workaround, go to search, under date search select 'last visit' and press search. Not quite the same as the 'new posts' feature .

Kudos, team. Just glad to see its up and running again. Yes, the "new posts" was always my opener onto the forum. Hope it gets reinstated. This grey-on-black type is hard to read, and will be a killer for longer posts.

I only navigated the site by "New Posts", as there's so many sub-forums it's a pain to navigate that way. Unfortunately if that's no longer a feature.

I agree, the new posts was how I navigated into the forum as well.

Glad the vulnerability was patched. I navigated by 'subscriptions' in the past, hoping that feature can be added in the future.

I think I saw an option to do this in your user settings part. Also there is an actual notification option at the top of the page when someone replys to a topic you have replyed too in the past if thats what you ment

New Posts, Who's Online, and other widgets are now under the main title.

For those who do not like the default "Dark" theme, there are theme options in your user settings.  Just click on your username to enter.

I tried each of the themse settings but they all seem to be Dark. Or do I have to log out and in for them to take effect?

And what replaces the old "Activity Stream"?
I am in no way entitled to your opinion...

So, we'll look at enabling a few themes as I thought it was sitewide on install.  It isn't.

The "Activity Stream" was just enabled again. It is buried quite well in the CMS. It's going to take some time for us to find everything.
