Linda Ronstadt Tells Mike Pompeo To “Stop Enabling Donald Trump” At Kennedy Honors Dinner

Pompeo, an embattled protector of President Trump, was enjoying his first turn as official host of the event. During the pre-dinner welcoming address, he quipped: “As I travel the world, I wonder when will I be loved,” invoking the words of Ronstadt’s 1975 hit “When I Be Loved,” penned by Phil Everly.

Ronstadt has been an outspoken critic of Trump. When it came her turn following dinner to receive the honor and make optional remarks, Ronstadt rose to the microphone a few feet away from the host’s table and looked straight ahead. “I’d like to say to Mr. Pompeo, who wonders when he’ll be loved, it’s when he stops enabling Donald Trump.” Then she sat down.

The line drew immediate gasps from the audience, followed by slowly building applause, and then cheers.

      • No witch hunt, no hoax, no treason.

FBI investigation of Trump investigation proves that the original was without political bias or improper motivation.

Trump's Deep State Conspiracy theories are blown out of the water by his own administration.

Bill Barr and other Trump sycophants claim that their own Inspector General's report is wrong.

        • Steele had ‘personal’ relationship with Ivanka Trump, DoJ report reveals

          • Steele was ‘favorably disposed’ to Trump family, report said

          Luke Harding
The former MI6 officer Christopher Steele had a “personal” relationship with Ivanka Trump and gifted her a “family tartan from Scotland” as a present, the long-awaited report by US Department of Justice inspector general, Michael Horowitz, revealed on Monday.

Horowitz’s review of the FBI’s 2016 investigation into Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign and its links with Russia includes fresh details of Steele’s interactions with the FBI, and startling claims about his relationship with the Trumps dating back to the period before he wrote a controversial dossier on Trump. The report did not mention Ivanka Trump by name but her identity was revealed by ABC News.

The report said that contrary to what Donald Trump has claimed on Twitter Steele was actually “favorably disposed” to the Trump family. It was “ridiculous” to suggest he was biased against the then Republican candidate or that his memos on collusion, written at the behest of the Washington-based research firm Fusion GPS, were in any way biased, Steele told federal investigators.

Steele said he had visited Ivanka Trump at Trump Tower and had been “friendly” with her for “some years”. He described their relationship as “personal”. The former British government spy had even given her a “family tartan from Scotland” as a present, the report quoted him as saying.

ABC also reported that Ivanka Trump even discussed work that Steele’s firm – Orbis Business Intelligence – might do for the Trump family business

Trump calls FBI ‘scum’ at rally

At a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump called the FBI ‘scum’ amid the release of an IG report on the FBI's investigation of the 2016 Trump campaign. The IG report debunked the president's claim that the investigation into his campaign was launched by biased individuals within the intelligence community looking to undermine his presidency.

            • Calling the FBI scum after they helped you win the election, and its a well known fact that most FBI are right leaning gun loving people... I'm completely okay with Trump alienating his base.

                WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)

—For the third year in a row, Donald J. Trump has been named Person of the Year by the magazine Popular Sociopath, the publication announced on Thursday.

“Once a year, we at Popular Sociopathrecognize the person who best epitomizes sociopathic-personality disorder, which manifests in antisocial behavior and a total absence of conscience and concern for others,” Harland Dorrinson, the magazine’s editor, said. “We are delighted to bestow this honor, once again, on Donald J. Trump.”

Dorrinson said that Trump bested a daunting roster of competitors for the title, including the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell; the Fox News host Tucker Carlson; and Trump’s own son Donald J. Trump, Jr.

“Honestly, though, it wasn’t close,” the editor said.

When asked if he had reached out to his son since surpassing him for the magazine’s honor, Trump told reporters, “Why would I do that? I don’t care what he thinks or feels. This is all about me. What a stupid question. You’re worthless.”

                • In Trump's defence, it makes perfect sense to ask "one of the most corrupt countries" to investigate the Bidens but not ask his own FBI or CIA that he controls, to investigate.

                  Yeah, makes perfect sense

With all those people who formerly worked for him in jail or facing charges, maybe he should have done a bit more "investigation" closer to home. He didn't need to have Rudy go all the way to Ukraine to try find corruption, it is right infront of him.

Yes, he just has to look in a mirror if he wants to find a corrupt politician and swamp scum.

                          • Key Trump associate is willing to testify at Senate impeachment trial and testify that Trump did nothing wrong. Trump's closest confidant says he knows everything and has recordings of every one of Trump's calls. He said that he will confirm that Ukraine was responsible for hacking the US election and that he has proof that Russia is totally innocent.

Vladimir Putin says Trump was impeached for 'made-up reasons'

Moscow (CNN)Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his annual news conference Thursday that US President Donald Trump's impeachment was based on "made-up reasons," and expressed doubts that Trump will be removed from power.

The House of Representatives voted almost exactly along party lines Wednesday to impeach Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Trump was the third president in US history to be impeached, and he now faces a trial in the Senate that is expected to start next month.
"Regarding the continuation of our dialogue till the end of Trump's presidency, you make it sound as if it's already coming to an end," Putin said answering a question about whether Russia has a strategy for continuing the dialogue with the US until the end of Trump's presidency.
"I actually really doubt that it is ending, it still has to go through Senate where as far as I know the Republicans hold the majority so it's unlikely they will want to remove the representative of their party for some made-up reasons."
Putin's defense of Trump is in line with the unusually-warm relationship the two leaders have formed since 2017. Last year, Trump sided with the Russian President when he declined to endorse the US government's assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election, saying instead that he believed Putin's denial that his government meddled. Trump has also dismissed credible allegations that Putin uses violence against his opponents, saying in 2015: "I haven't seen any evidence that he killed anybody, in terms of reporters."

Putin added on Thursday: "This is just the continuation of the internal political battle, one party that lost the elections, the Democrats, and are now trying to find new ways by accusing Trump of collusion with Russia. But then it turns out there was no collusion, this can't be the basis for the impeachment. Now they came up with some pressure on Ukraine, I don't know what is the [pressure] but this is up to your congressmen."

                              • Yeah, "A nice school shooting"

Conservative radio host wishes for a ‘nice school shooting’ to distract from impeachment

As Chuck Bonniwell welcomed listeners back from a break on his Colorado talk-radio show just after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, he laughed as he introduceda segment discussing the “never-ending impeachment of Donald Trump.”

“You know,” he said, “you wish for a nice school shooting” to interrupt the nonstop impeachment coverage. His wife and co-host, Julie Hayden, immediately jumped in and cut him off.

“No, no, don’t even — don’t even say that,” she said. “No, don’t even say that. Don’t call us, Chuck didn’t say that.”

Bonniwell quickly tried to back off from the statement, saying he would want a shooting “in which no one would be hurt,” but the damage had already been done. By the end of the day, the couple’s conservative show was canceled by the Aurora, Colo., radio station 710 KNUS.
