Uhhhh... Barr, that is under your watch as you are in charge of Federal jails. Maybe you should resign.
Yup, this one is on Barr and Trump as it occurred under their watch. Its not like it’s just 5 or 6 months after the election.
LOL. Yeah the president of the united states takes time to look after prisons, get real! LOL
I know it’s ludicrous but that’s how it works. (Same for monthly jobs numbers, loads of other economic issues, numbers of terrorist incidents... you name it) Look at the nonsensical things Obama got blamed for just because he was president.
I don't recall Obama getting blamed for much. I liked him his first term, second, not so much. He played golf a lot AND had his basketball court inside, where he apparently spent a lot of time.
At least he wasn't slick willy Clinton, who spent his time in the oval office with Monica, and?

      • Another one of Trump's "Fine people"

Ohio man who said AOC 'should be shot' has been arrested on felony gun charges, interstate threats

Timothy James Ireland Jr. posted on Facebook that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ‘should be shot’ and said he would face no repercussions from the public backlash because, “Can’t fire me, my employer would load the gun for me.” The post made local news and the 41-year-old Ohio man found himself under investigation by the Capitol Hill Police, which eventually resulted in his arrest.

        From Roll Call:

When Ireland was asked by Capitol Police Special Agent Lawrence Anyaso about the statement he made on Facebook, he said he was very proud of it, according to an affidavit supporting the criminal complaint. Ireland also said in that telephone interview that he always carries concealed guns, has guns for hunting and everyone knows he has guns, according to the affidavit.
Police searched his home and found ammunition. Ireland is not legally allowed to own guns because of his criminal record.

Tracking President Trump's visits to Trump properties

“Presidents other than Trump incurred similar questions about travel costs. Much of what is known about Obama's travel costs was obtained by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, which aggressively sought receipts through Freedom of Information Act requests. In October 2016, the GAO issued its own report breaking out the costs of one specific trip taken by Obama, finding that a trip to Chicago and Florida cost $3.6 million.”

Trump Golf Costs Top $110 Million -- More Than 1 Estimate For All Of Obama’s Travel
          Aug 3, 2019

“Judicial Watch, a tax-exempt conservative group, in 2017 said that its tally of Obama’s travel costs based on documents obtained through Freedom of Information Act lawsuits had hit $105.7 million. That total, though, appears to include official trips of Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, as well as some campaign-related travel that was partially reimbursed by the Democratic Party.

Trump’s $110.3 million total in HuffPost’s analysis is for travel to and from golf vacations, and does not include official or campaign travel. ”...

          • Yeah, he kept his election promise. Right up there with "Mexico will pay for the wall"

I liked the details from your link.

During his campaign for president, Trump claimed that he would be too busy working to have time for any vacations at all. “I love golf, but if I were in the White House, I don’t think I’d ever see Turnberry again. I don’t think I’d ever see Doral again,” he told a rally audience in February 2016. “I don’t ever think I’d see anything. I just want to stay in the White House and work my *** off.”

            • Don't forget, every time Trump visits one of his properties, the government has to pay him. And this is just for golf carts. They also have to pay for rooms, meals, etc.

The Secret Service has spent almost $550,000 on golf carts to protect Donald Trump

Since the Secret Service has to protect the president at all times, and a country club covers a lot of acreage, and Trump only rides in a cart when he plays golf, they have to find a way to keep up with POTUS. Since Trump won the November 2016 presidential election, then, the Secret Service has been renting golf carts to make sure they can protect Trump when he's on the golf course.

More than two years since he defeated Hillary Clinton, Trump has spent 217 days of his presidency on a golf course. All but two of those days has been on a golf course he owns. (He played golf twice with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Japan.) Almost all of the days he's spent at his clubs have been at one of three places: Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla.; Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C. in northern Virginia; or Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in Bedminster, N.J.

The more time he spends at his properties, the more money he makes. No wonder he can afford to give up his salary.

              • Trump administration overhauls Endangered Species Act protections

The weakening of the act's protections is one of many moves by President Donald Trump, a Republican, to roll back existing regulations to hasten oil, gas and coal production, as well as grazing and logging on federal land.
The changes would also strike language that guides officials to ignore economic impacts of how animals should be safeguarded. The original act protected species regardless of the economics of the area protected.
"For animals like wolverines and monarch butterflies, this could be the beginning of the end."
Well there goes a few species I guess. Taking in economic considerations into the continued survival of an endangered species is only slightly short sited. Hmmm I wonder how this will play out.

"I know this is one of the last habitats for this species, but did you consider that this bird sanctuary would be more valuable and bring in more taxes if it as rezoned to allow a strip mall?"

                "I suppose you're right. Approved!"

                • Trump’s negotiating skills on display...

The new Air Force One will cost the Pentagon $5.2 billion, according to the Defense Department's first formal acquisition report for the aircraft.
In 2016, it was estimated that the new aircraft would cost $3.2 billion. A year later, President Donald Trump said he negotiated the planes' cost down by $1 billion.

No, wait, China will gladly pay though the tariffs he is charging them....

"Err.. the YUGE tax break means we have more money rolling in because the economy is growing at 4%, uh 3%, ohhh 2% and the debt is nearly gone as I PROMISED!"

"Well, Hillary and those angry leftist socialist mobs are to blame for the cost going up."

But the really reassuring stuff came via the insane lying. As a champion bullshitter, Donald Trump is quite adept at convincing himself of something as he makes it up with the intent of convincing others. The truth is whatever you can get enough people to believe, including yourself. And it appears that the president has thoroughly convinced himself that he is responsible for a program that was signed into law in 2014.As a refresher, Trump was not president in 2014. His political career was primarily contained to suggesting the first black president was actually Kenyan, and thus illegitimate. (Not a racist bone in his body, etc. etc.) But the really astounding thing is he's told this lie 80 (eighty!) times and shows no sign of slowing down. He is an unstoppable force of fabrication, and The Lamestream Liberal Fake News Media has not exactly proven itself to be an immovable object. At some point, he says the same false thing so many times that people just give up.

                        • On several levels I think this guy’s warped thinking is the very definition of: unbalanced.

...and people are worried about those that are excessively politically correct, or members of the perceived “establishment”, etc. while guys like this seek out and even attain positions of power and influence.

The last quote below is a reasonable statement but the preceding population comment is just downright wacko material in the context of his anti-abortion stance. It may even be technically correct that every line may have at some point experienced rape and incest. The guy’s totally clueless if not completely blind to what he himself is implying - he’s fighting the wrong f’ing battle! The intent to attack abortion rights by this whole approach... it’s an unbelievable lack of sense let alone common sense.

Would there be any population of the world left if we did that?” Kingsaid in remarks to 50 members of the Westside Conservative Club during the event in Urbandale. “Considering all the wars and all the rapes and pillages that happened throughout all these different nations, I know that I can’t say that I was not a part of a product of that,” he added. ...”

                              • During the summer recess, Donald Trump and Melania decided to take a short vacation on a yacht.

After leaving port and anchoring in an undisclosed location, Trump wanted to have some private time with the First Lady so he sent his Secret Service and all the staff and crew ashore.

Later that night, Trump slipped on the deck, went over the side rail and into the water. Trying to swim, Trump floundered in the water in his oversized suit and tie, calling to Melania for a rescue.

Melania sprung into action and sent messages to the Secret Service, the Coast Guard and local police.

A week later, the body of the President was found washed up on shore by the Coast Guard.

During a press conference, reporters asked what was the delay in responding to the emergency to find the President.

The Coast Guard, Secret service and the local police stated that the First Lady had placed insufficient postage on her three letters...
