    You'd think the solar bench by Telus World of Science would be facing south. But nope, let's have it point north in an area with trees. I guess the installers didn't want to consult with the experts 50 feet away.

      Or it exists first as a place for people to sit to enjoy the universe and only second as a place to serve people’s addiction to a narrow slice of the universe.

      Or, just think: ergonomics.

        Concepts like these are also designed / installed as a part of climate / natural disaster emergency resiliency projects. This would be better used and designed as a City strategy of neighbourhood "hubs" around its community leagues as locations that serve potable water, off-grid electricity, and a cache of emergency supplies in events of mass power outages, tornadoes or floods.
