AARGHH! That terrible Best Buy commercial "We're looking for the 'you're the best dad ever' " is back this year.

    Commercials I hate:

The ones with the guy with the beard that hawks cleaning products by yelling all of his lines at the top of his lungs.

The reverse mortgage and sit-down tub ads. Am I the only person under the age of 75 that watches newsworld and newsnet on occasion?

Any commercial that gets shown more than twice during an hour. Get some more advertisers already!

        - On American channels - prescription drug ads.

        - Commercials for a product such as a knife, showing how difficult
it is to do a task such as slicing a tomato or a loaf of bread using
someone else's product. They probably grind the blades down on the "useless" knives so that they couldn't cut water.

Haha, those drug commercials to cure whatever ails you.

Some may experience [random vital] organ failure, [some form of] cancer, [random] blood disease, or anything pepto bismol is good for as well as sudden weight gain/loss, and dehydration.
If you are pregnant, may become pregnant, have high cholesterol, diabetes, drink, smoke, had a stroke, overweight, a stubbed toe, bad liver, etc. you should not take this medication. Sudden occurrence of rashes, hives, death, or itchiness may indicate an allergic reaction. Please consult your doctor.

^ Remind you of any commercials you've seen lately?

Another thing I hate about 'just a few' commercials - why do they have to be 50% louder than the actual TV program?

I don't mind that Best Buy one. Far better than those snake oil ads IMO. I miss those Taco Bell dog ads; at least they gave me a chuckle.

I disagree. Those are the best. Pure comedy.

^ The Viagra ones (any and all of them) with special mention of the "Good Morning, good morning".

Specialty Channels that repeat the same four commercials over and over again. Including back to back renditions of the same ad.

The "feminine products" commercials which have stupid tag lines like "have a happy period".

TV previews which give the whole plot line i.e. the best, funniest, most dramatic parts.

That little girl with her imaginary friend Cindy in the Dairy Queen ad is really creepy.

Those new La-Z-Boy ads really really suck, especially the one with the guy talking to the fly on his nose.

What's really drawing my ire is Denny Andrews.

There's a new road safety one with an injured guy in an ambulance getting asked weird questions. Creepy.

                      Any Wetaskiwin dealership

Actually, pretty much all of the terrible terrible car dealership ads.

I also detest the ads that play twice in one break - I would never use any of their products/services for being so annoying.

Special mention goes to Brian Hall, retire you old git. Not an advert but had to get it off my chest.

Good call on all those, Sonic. Can I add the Scotia Bank one to the list? "I need a second opinion..." <- maybe it's the frequency of the ad but I've really become to detest that stubby little guy.

"give like santa and save like scrooge" was used repeatedly by Crappy Tire for years. If they try to resurrect this theme this season then the nuclear option will be on the table !

I miss Nicky Fordinski, though i see he's been resurrected with another series of commercials (can't remember the name).

                              * Any City Ford commercial...that woman has the most grating voice on the planet.

                              * The one for a credit card, whose tag line is "Yup you've got Bankers"

                              * I think Canuckian Tire has put that commercial in it's rightful place. They have changed ad agencies. Just pray they don't bring back that Husband and wife team.
