    The historical averages are based upon the last 15 years rather than longer terms so a decade of drought can lower the average significantly. California also gets a huge amount of water from out of state and you choose to ignore that fact.

    Overall, water demand is huge and having a very wet or snowy season just encourages rapid vegetation growth and then very hot and dry seasons with strong winds dry the vegetation and becomes a tinderbox for wildfires.

    One of the obvious issues of climate change is the extreme weather events like stronger storms, longer droughts, colder winters and more violent weather conditions.
