If we didn’t have crime a lot of cops, lawyers, court people, security services, judges and jailers plus more would be out of a job. Think of their money being spent in small businesses. Half of a coffee shops business. lol. It’s a major employer. Crime is good for business. I must know 20 people personally whose living relies on it.

We should deport H.L. because she sees nothing wrong with a Trump supporter walking into a mosque and killing people. What an effin *****!

Wait for the media/liberal spin on this thug.
You mean like the fright wing media and the Trump administration claimed that the Quebec City mosque shooter was a Muslim instead of a Trump supporter?

From the 'As it Happens' article:

As It Happens asked the RCMP if the plane belonged to them and received this response:"The RCMP's primary concern is the safety and security of Canadians. We have multiple aircraft that support our mandate in Ontario and elsewhere in the country. To maintain the integrity of our investigations and operations, the location of our aircraft is not disclosed. We therefore have no additional information to share with you at this time."

Clearly an honest answer, even though it has elements of a Freudian slip about it.

As to why a photo of a Beechcraft 200 was used, being that the illustration appeared in an early report - and the rush to get it out there, is probably as a result of hurried and sloppy editing. To the general eye of your average media audience the Beechcraft and the Pilatus do look somewhat similar. And the CBC did 'come clean' in acknowledging that it was a Beechcraft 200.

Here’s fake news creation: So it was a Beechcraft? Note this comment which had a photo inserted in the earlier article: “This photo shows a Beechcraft 200”

Note that there is no explanation as to why the photo of the plane over France was inserted in the article.

Here’s a newer report with what was possibly the actual plane (though the link between the early event and this comment hasn’t been stated):

“However, the threat was considered serious enough to involve months of investigation, thousands of hours of police work and the use of a Pilatus PC-12 RCMP surveillance plane that had been circling over Kingston in recent weeks for hours on end, creating a great deal of interest from residents due to the noise.”

The early article with a Beechcraft mysteriously inserted in the article:

Kingston, Ont. residents baffled by mysterious sound buzzing overhead | CBC Radio

“So far Kingston's airport, Transport Canada, and the Canadian Forces have said the reported mystery plane does not belong to them. This photo shows a Beechcraft 200 Super King Air as it flies above Toulouse, southern France in 2018. (Pascal Pavani/AFP/Getty Images)”

Regarding the arrested guy’s father saying it’s fake news. It’s not fake news. That’s ludicrous. However, that’s not to say the guy is guilty. Lots of wrongly accused people get arrested, and some get convicted.

It would also be ludicrous to say the guy is guilty. Though the quotes of official statements sure insert the implication that months and thousands of hours of investigation time implies his guilt. This may be an attempt to boost one sides credibility while introducing biased perceptions against the guy arrested.

German far-right MP Frank Magnitz badly hurt in Bremen attack - BBC News

“Joint party leader Alice Weidel described the incident as an "assassination attempt" while local officials in Bremen blamed "incitement" from the centre-left SPD and Green parties.”

    ...
AfD entered the national parliament (Bundestag) for the first time last year with 94 seats and now has representatives in every German state parliament.

Its anti-immigration platform has struck a chord, particularly in eastern Germany where it hopes to make gains in three state elections this year. AfD is also eyeing the May 2019 European Parliament elections.

Last week an AfD office in the eastern town of Döbeln was damaged by an explosion. No-one was hurt.

SPD leader Andrea Nahles said that AfD was a "political opponent" of Germany's tolerant society but anyone trying to fight it with violence "betrays these values and jeopardises our co-existence".

Totally unacceptable attack and I hope that the perpetrators are caught and put on trial as soon as possible.

However, much like MrOilers, this is assigning blame before the evidence is in. Is it likely that it was politically motivated? Yes, quite likely I'd say. Is there proof yet? No, not as yet. And until there is evidence pointing at a particular group being responsible, I think that assigning blame to "the intolerant left" is premature. We've seen cases in the past where people are attacked by members of their own ideology. both on the right and the left, usually for not being "pure" enough for some.

Again, this attack is totally unacceptable.
