  • Who would you like to see at the closing ceremonies?

The Vancouver 2010 opening ceremonies got mixed reviews.

For the closing ceremonies, who would you want to see perform? I did not include artists who performed for the opening ceremonies.

p.s....you can choose more than one answer.

Nickelback. Tragically Hip is tragically overdone. The Olympics are desperate to get youth interested and Nickelback is arguably the biggest new-ish band in the world and they're proud Canadians. I'd like to see them pen a couple songs for it, and keep the sex and drugs out of it, while promoting partying with national pride.

That's the only thing that would get me to watch the Olympics.

If the artists are over 60, we don't want 'em. Let's get a younger demographic interested for life, not get a passing glance from the geezers that are old and jaded.

What, look at all the old rockers, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart etc: etc: etc
Age is just a state of mind.

I don't care if a musician is old.

I care if they still create good and interesting music, instead of relying solely on their past fame. Acts like Randy Bachman and Guess Who fit in the latter category.
