Here’s your opportunity to speak out on any Edmonton-themed subject.
Our guest columnists are all ordinary people with something intelligent to say about Edmonton. We don’t offer any remuneration … but we can offer you a global forum to share your views.
Just send an e-mail to staff@connect2edmonton.ca with your picture and column. Guest column submissions should adhere to the following:
1. All guest columnists must be a registered member of C2E. Membership is free and open to everyone. For more information or to register, please click here.
2. All columns must be focused on an Edmonton-related theme and should take a firm stance for or against an idea or issue.
3. We suggest that guest columns be approximately 500 to 1,000 words.
4. Columns cannot be expressly selling a company or product. Discretion as to what is deemed a sales message is left up to the C2E Steering Committee.
5. All columns must be posted with a photo of the writer.
6. The columns are meant to encourage discussion; the more provocative, the better. Taking a strong positive position to support an idea is encouraged.
7. C2E will not post any column that violates the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms or is deemed by the C2E Steering Committee to be offensive or discriminatory.
8. Guest columns are subject to all rules governing C2E’s moderated forum discussions. For the full listing of rules and guidelines, please click here.
C2E reserves the right to edit column submissions for accuracy, clarity and conciseness. We also reserve the right not to publish a submission that does not conform to community guidelines. (If you just want to rant about something, maybe you’re more of a complainer than a columnist.)
