Default Feds, Ontario Invest Big Dollars in Ontario Auto Plants

    From today's Financial Post:

CAMBRIDGE, Ont. — The federal and Ontario governments will pitch in a combined $220 million towards a $1.4 billion upgrade at two Toyota Canada manufacturing plants.Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the announcement at Toyota’s plant in Cambridge, Ont., which, along with a facility in Woodstock, Ont., will see the upgrades.

Queue the environmental protesters and self-righteous politicians. No doubt they will be descending on Cambridge and Woodstock en masse to block increased production of these evil fossil fuel guzzling SUVs. Or maybe not.

We could use a huge Toyota plant in Nisku and maybe a Ford plant in Alberta's Industrial Heartland. That would keep a lot of us going.

Maybe when the Chinese start importing their vehicles into North America? It wouldn't be a bad idea...Although the oilsand development is most likely at an end now, there are still plenty of employment to be bennifited through year round maintenance and shutdowns annually; as well, major shutdowns roughly every 5 years.

It's never the addicts and their paraphernalia that are evil, it's the suppliers of the evil oil that are to blame, like heroine or cocaine. The evil oil dealers of Alberta and their campadres will surely burn in hell. Lol
