The more I see the left trying to conjure up Russian scare conspiracies and use every deceitful tactic they can think of in an attempt to remove Trump from power, the more I am starting to wonder if Nixon really was innocent and was possibly entrapped by his political opponents.

It never would have even crossed my mind before, but seeing how the left has become completely, frighteningly unhinged over the last few years tells me that when this is how the far-left is willing to take things, it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Keep the delusions front and center.

Nixon was framed and all the tapes were just done by voice actors and people went to prison due to Watergate just for fun.

So a Christian on his way to Bible class decided to run over a group of people he thought were Muslims.

California man who deliberately drove into crowd injuring 8 thought they were Muslims: police chief

"Authorities in Silicon Valley have launched a hate crime investigation into the driver of a car which rammed into a group of pedestrians, NBC Bay Area reported Friday.

“The Sunnyvale police chief says new evidence indicates Isaiah Peoples deliberately drove into a crowd of pedestrians based on race and ethnicity, and believed that some in the group were Muslims,” NBC Bay Area noted. The District Attorney is not officially calling it a ‘hate crime.'”

Peoples was charged with eight counts of attempted murder.

And a white male with an assault rifle shoots Jewish worshippers on the last day of Passover

1 woman killed, 3 people injured in shooting at California synagogue

A gunman opened fire in a San Diego-area synagogue with an assault-style weapon on Saturday, killing one woman inside and wounding three other worshippers in a hate crime carried out on the last day of Passover, authorities said.

The suspect, a 19-year-old white male whose identity was not immediately made public, fled the scene by car and was arrested a short time later when he pulled over and surrendered to police, authorities said at a news conference.

How do they know it’s a hate crime?
Also isn’t the correct wording now Passover worshippers? Not sure if it’s correct to mention the word “Jewish”.

Ok I see that the mayor, who is an authority, called it a hate crime. Not sure if that makes it so. The wording in the article pretty much ensures that it’s a done deal in terms of perceptions.

Better yet, ban assault weapons in the first place. Think about that.

On the apology from the responsible and ethical press, at least they admit the mistake and then make s formal apology.

When will that guy in the White House who makes many factual errors and blatant lies each day, admit his errors and make a formal apology?

This might have something to do with it being investigated as a hate crime.

Shooting at San Diego Area Synagogue Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Injured [UPDATING]

Update, Saturday, 7:01 p.m. ET: NBC News has identified the suspect as 19-year-old John T. Earnest of San Diego. Earnest, who allegedly entered the Chabad synagogue of Poway on Saturday morning and began firing, published a “manifesto” online shortly after 10 a.m. local time, NBC 7 San Diego reported.

Earnest’s missive points to the fact that Saturday’s shooting on the last day of Passover was inspired by the Christchurch mosque shootings in New Zealand in March, which left 50 people dead, and the mass shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh exactly six months ago, which killed 11 people.

NBC 7 characterized the manifesto as being “[f]illed with racist rants and quotes from the Bible.”

Earnest, a white nursing student, also claimed credit for an arson attack at a mosque in Escondido, CA, last month. “During that incident, Earnest spray-painted messages referencing the New Zealand mosque shooting,” NBC 7 reported.

    https://splinternews.com/shooting-at...inj-1834355422
    And this

Suspect in deadly synagogue shooting near San Diego wrote anti-Semitic manifesto

Earnest appears to have written a letter posted on the Internet filled with anti-Semitic screeds. In the letter, he also talked about the planning the attack.

“How long did it take you to plan the attack? Four weeks. Four weeks ago, I decided I was doing this. Four weeks later, I did it.”

Earnest, who is white, wrote that he was willing to sacrifice his future “for the sake of my people.”

In the manifesto, he also took credit for an arson fire that blackened the walls of the Islamic Center in Escondido on March 24. There were seven people inside the building at the time the fire erupted about 3:15 a.m. but no one was injured.

The arsonist left a note referring to a shooting rampage at two New Zealand mosques on March 15 that left 50 people dead.

“I scorched a mosque in Escondido with gasoline a week after” the New Zealand shootings, Earnest wrote. But the people inside “woke up and put out the fire pretty much immediately after I drove away which was unfortunate.”

The suspect also championed Robert Bowers — who killed 11 people and wounded six others in the Tree of Life synagogue shootings in Pittsburgh six months ago — and Adolf Hitler.

    https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/...427-story.html
So yeah, it just might be worthwhile to investigate it as a hate crime.

Sure looks like the evidence points to it. However in the article I responded to it was the mayor speaking his mind. The writing style of the author didn’t make it clear that it wasn’t the police saying that.

It’s just that when these things go all wrong and innocent people are named and targeted it’s often media sloppiness at fault. So I’d rather wait for evidence like that in the above articles or better yet for the police to accurately describe the crime as well, though I guess a mayor might have access to investigators/investigation notes or may show up at the scene or otherwise hear such evidence from witnesses first-hand (is in what was reportedly what the guy was saying as he started shooting).

First the reporter writes “in a hate crime” and says it’s multiple authorities.
Then way down in the article the reporter later reports on the mayor thoughts saying “characterized... as a hate crime”

So at the top the use of “authorities” doesn’t jive with the facts presented by the reporter.

Looks like Trump is acting like Democrats according to H.L. and MrOilers. Trump REFUSED to call it a Synagogue, the victims as Jewish or say the word anti-Semitic.

He quickly changed subjects to boasting about his rally in Wisconsin and his golf game.

Most importantly he absolutely REFUSES to even mention what to do about mass shootings. He loudly stated before that all these shootings would stop as soon as he got elected. Now he waffles and mopes like there is nothing he can do. At least nothing that the NRA will allow him to do. He would not say the obvious, ASSAULT WEAPON BAN. Amazing that the Prime Minister in New Zealand could pass legislation in a couple of weeks and Trump is a powerless puppet of the NRA.

President Donald Trump said Thursday that most senators have "absolutely no idea what they're talking about" when it comes to tariffs, despite Trump spreading misinformation about who will shoulder the cost.
Trump is currently facing strong backlash from members of his own party in the US Senate over his threats to levy a 5% tariff on Mexico beginning on June 10.
Both economists and immigration experts say that not only will American consumers end up paying for the tariffs, but they're extremely unlikely to reduce illegal border crossings.
While Trump says he plans to use the National Emergency Declaration Act to unilaterally declare tariffs, some of Trump's staunchest allies in Congress are pushing back.

Problem solved, no need to build a wall or return locked up kids with their parents.

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) jabbed President Trump on Friday night after Trump said he would drop plans to impose tariffs on Mexico because his administration had reached a deal to stem the flow of migrants to the U.S.

"This is an historic night! @realDonaldTrump has announced that he has cut a deal to 'greatly reduce, or eliminate, Illegal Immigration coming from Mexico and into the United States,'" Schumer tweeted.

“What are the children supposed to do? Will soccer balls and textbooks now be confiscated? How are these children expected to learn, grow, and function in society?” said U.S. Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, a critic of the administration’s immigration policy. “These are children that are going through tremendous suffering. ... They are robbing them of their humanity.”

Michelle Ortiz, deputy director of Americans for Immigrant Justice., was appalled. “These are children. Even Death Row inmates have access to educational and recreational services.”

So, who do you believe, the President of Mexico or the President of the United States?

One has never lied to me, the other is Donald Trump

Mexico denies Trump’s claim of secret concessions in deal

“We have fully signed and documented another very important part of the Immigration and Security deal with Mexico, one that the U.S. has been asking about getting for many years,” Trump wrote Monday, saying it would “be revealed in the not too distant future.”

Not so, said Mexican Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, holding up a paper and pointing to the previously announced details. He told reporters the two countries agreed on two actions made public Friday and said if those measures didn’t work to slow migration, they would discuss further options.

“There is no other thing beyond what I have just explained,” he said.

The episode revealed the complicated political dynamics at play as Trump and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador tussle over who made out best in the agreement hashed out under Trump’s threat of new tariffs on Mexico. Trump appeared eager to declare his negotiation tactics successful, even as he tried to hype the deal with made-for-TV drama and invented measures, sparking questions and confusion. Mexico’s leaders showed they weren’t willing to play along.

The Trump administration has been trying to pressure Mexico to enter into a “safe third country” agreement, which would deem Mexico a safe place for migrants and make it harder for asylum seekers who pass through the country to wait until they reach American soil to file a claim.

But the deal announced Friday made no mention of the issue.

This was a fake crisis that Trump says he solved. The negotiations were held months ago and then Trump created a distraction by calling for tariffs against Mexico when all he wanted was to take the victory lap.

The New York Times reported on Saturday that Trump had framed parts of his Mexico deal as brand new and revelatory despite them having already been agreed months ago.

Mexico's promise that the National Guard would be sent to sure-up the southern border was actually agreed in March 2019, the Times wrote, and the revelation that asylum-seekers would have to wait in Mexico while US courts made their decisions was tentatively agreed in December 2018.
    https://www.businessinsider.com/trum...-secret-2019-6

Trump waved the 'secret' one page document like a Sideshow huckster, which was easily captured by photographers.

Reminded me so much of Neville Chamberlain "Peace in our Time" speech with another worthless piece of paper.

    WWII started 11 months later

Part of the Mexico deal reads
“If the United States determines, at its discretion and after consultation with Mexico, after 45 calendar days from the date of issuance of the Joint Declaration, that the measures adopted by the government of Mexico pursuant to the Joint Declaration have not sufficiently achieved results in addressing the flow of migrants to the southern border of the United States, the Government of Mexico will take all necessary steps under domestic law to bring the agreement into force with a view to ensuring the agreement will enter into force within 45 days.”

If you read that, you realize that it is a circular argument that does not mean anything, just stating that after 45 days, if the government of Mexico fails to act, the government of Mexico will maybe do something. That paragraph shows no actions by the US except that they will consult with Mexico. All talk and NO ACTION.

Obviously Trump cannot understand a single page document, let alone the 400 page Mueller Report

Soap? You want soap? What do you think, that we're made of money?

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION ARGUES DETAINED MIGRANT CHILDREN DON'T NEED TOOTHBRUSHES, SOAP

The Trump administration went to court this week to argue that migrant children detained at the United States-Mexico border do not require basic hygiene products like soap and toothbrushes in order to be in held in "safe and sanitary" conditions. Trump's team also argued that requiring minors to sleep on cold concrete floors in crowded cells with low temperatures similarly fulfilled that requirement.

Arguing in a 9th district San Francisco court about the conditions that they must hold migrant children in, the administration said that they did not violate a precedent set by a landmark 1985 class action lawsuit which established guidelines for the way minors held in federal immigration detention must be treated. The case, Jenny Lisette Flores v. Edwin Meese, created rules around the timely release of migrant minors to their parents, and said that those not released must be kept in facilities that are "safe and sanitary."

But on Tuesday, the Justice Department's Sarah Fabian claimed that the ruling did not list specific requirements like "toothbrushes" or "towels," to establish a sanitary condition.

"One has to assume it was left that way and not enumerated by the parties because either the parties couldn't reach agreement on how to enumerate that or it was left to the agencies to determine," Fabian said to the three Clinton-appointed federal judges on the court.

"You're really going to stand up and tell us that being able to sleep isn't a question of safe and sanitary conditions?" U.S. Circuit Judge Marsha Berzon asked Fabian.

Undocumented former Trump employees demand meeting to ask Trump for deportation protection

(CNN) — Twenty-one people who worked for the Trump Organization while undocumented have asked to meet with President Donald Trump to address immigration policy reform and request deportation relief, the Washington Post reported.

"We are modest people who represent the dreams of the 11 million undocumented men, women and children who live and work in this country," the group wrote in the letter shared by the Post. "We love America and want to talk to you about helping to give us a chance to become legal."

A divided three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco agreed with a lower court ruling that prevented the government from tapping Defence Department counterdrug money to build high-priority sections of wall in Arizona, California and New Mexico.

The decision is a setback for Trump's ambitious plans. He ended a 35-day government shutdown in February after Congress gave him far less than he wanted. He then declared a national emergency that the White House said would free billions of dollars from the Pentagon.

The tragic reality of people leaving their crime-infested countries south of the US and a US immigration system overwhelmed by the mass influx...

Gallup: Mentions of Immigration as Top Problem Surpass Record High

    https://news.gallup.com/poll/261500/...cord-high.aspx

...Americans' concern about immigration has reached a high point in Gallup's measurement of the issue, at least based on the percentage of U.S. adults who perceive the issue to be the most important problem facing the country. Dramatic images of overcrowded detention centers and acknowledgments from politicians of both political parties that the issue is a crisis have likely contributed to the rise in concern. And even as Democrats and Republicans continue to dispute the best way to address the situation, Congress has passed and President Donald Trump has signed legislation to spend over $4 billion in additional funds to address the situation at the border.
That recent law marked a rare instance when the parties found common ground on immigration since a bipartisan attempt to address the issue in the mid-2000s failed. Obama, who was unable to get a Republican-led Congress to pass immigration reform, resorted to executive orders to attempt to institute new immigration policies. Federal courts blocked that course of action. Immigration was arguably the top issue in Trump's 2016 campaign, and he, too, has been unable to pass favored legislation on the issue, including the full amount of funding he sought to extend the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico. Many of his attempts to circumvent the legislative process have also been blocked by Congress and the courts.

As such, immigration is likely to remain a top issue for Americans, particularly at points when large numbers of immigrants or asylum seekers are attempting to enter the country illegally.

It didn't work at Nuremberg .

ICE DIRECTOR USES NAZI DEFENCE TO CLAIM BORDER POLICY IS NOT LIKE HITLER REGIME: WE'RE JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS

During a Fox News interview with Tucker Carlson on Monday, Homan was asked to respond to those who have compared "your behaviour to that of the Nazis." The ICE director responded: "I think it's an insult to the brave men and women of the border patrol and ICE to call law enforcement officers Nazis. They are simply enforcing laws enacted by Congress."

Homan seemed to be unaware that he used the same "just following orders" defence that was used by Nazis during the Nuremberg trials following WWII.

    The ICE director is right.

It's just a straight up lazy insult to call border and immigration enforcement officials "Nazis" for enforcing established border and immigration laws - the very same laws that were in place under Barack Obama.

It's like calling prison guards Nazis for keeping criminals locked up in jail.

I don't recall child separations during the Obama regime. In fact, they made a point of keeping families together. The laws may not have changed but how the laws are applied and the policies under the laws are exercised is completely different.

As an example, there are speeding laws in Edmonton. Police are not that strict in the past and often did not have speed traps for months on end and photo radar did not exist. Then, they began campaigns to clamp down on speeding and enforced existing speed laws more forcefully but still did not apply the law unless you were going at least 10 km/h over the limit. Imagine if they applied a zero-tolerance for speeding? Anyone going 1 km/h is given a ticket and hundreds of officers were patrolling the streets for speeders, day and night. If you got caught doing 10 km/h over the limit, they impound your car.

You cannot provide a factual basis for your claim that "The ICE director is right." In fact, yours is the lazy insult in your deliberate misinformation and faithful belief in the lies and propaganda of the Trump child separation policy.

    Stop trying to rewrite history

    Obama administration
US President Barack Obama made changes to immigration policy, releasing parents and focusing on deportation of immigrants who committed crimes in the US. Attempting to cope with the 2014 American immigration crisis, a surge of unaccompanied children and women fleeing violence in Central America, while complying with the 1997 Flores v. Reno Settlement Agreement consent decree by keeping families together, under Obama the Department of Homeland Security built family detention centers in Pennsylvania, New Mexico, and Texas. Unaccompanied children were kept in holding cells, separated by age and gender while appropriate placements were found.

In 2015 Obama introduced the Family Case Management Program which, according to the fact sheet about the program, specifically prioritized "families with certain vulnerabilities, including pregnant or nursing family member; those with very young children; family members with medical/mental health concerns; families who speak only indigenous languages; and other special needs" to offer an alternative to being held in detention centers while awaiting the court to process their asylum claims, which often takes years.

In 2016, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in Flores v. Lynch that detained immigrant children should be released as quickly as possible, but that parents were not required to be freed. The Obama administration complied by releasing women and children after detaining them together for 21 days.

    Trump administration
Presidential candidate Donald Trump said ending "catch and release" was the second of his two priorities for immigration reform, after walling off Mexico. When the administration began separating families, pro-Trump pundits argued that the administration was implementing the same policy as the Obama administration. According to PolitiFact, the assertion that Trump was implementing the same policy as Obama is "false", noting "Obama's immigration policy specifically sought to avoid breaking up families. While some children were separated from their parents under Obama, this was relatively rare and families were quickly reunited even if that meant the release of a parent from detention." The Obama Administration did consider separating families, but decided against it.

Chief of Staff, John Kelly blamed Jeff Sessions for family separation policy
    https://www.businessinsider.com/john...policy-2018-12
"What happened was Jeff Sessions, he was the one that instituted the zero-tolerance process on the border that resulted in both people being detained and the family separation," Kelly told the Los Angeles Times in an interview published Sunday.

    Kelly added: "He surprised us."

The policy provoked widespread outcry and conflicting statements from Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, who initially denied the existence of the policy before taking full responsibility for its enforcement.
Jeff Sessions: Parents and Children Illegally Crossing the Border Will Be Separated
    https://time.com/5268572/jeff-sessio...der-separated/
Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the U.S. will take a stricter stance on illegal crossings at the Mexico border by separating parents from children, rather than keeping them together in detention centers.

“If you are smuggling a child then we will prosecute you, and that child will be separated from you as required by law,” Sessions said Monday at a law enforcement event in Scottsdale, Ariz. “If you don’t like that, then don’t smuggle children over our border.”

“If you cross this border unlawfully, then we will prosecute you. It’s that simple,” Sessions added, describing the new policy as zero tolerance. “We are dealing with a massive influx of illegal aliens across our Southwest Border. But we’re not going to stand for this.

BTW, crossing the border and claiming asylum is not illegal and not a crime.

It's because all of this rhetoric is coming from the Democrats. That's why.

Every reasonable person knows it's complete nonsense to equate US law enforcement to Hitler's forces.

The very last one (the only one I clicked on myself) says this right in the article:

"Yes, President Obama did have some family separation policies, and, yes, some of those early images were from the Obama administration."

So yes, I am correct - it existed under the Obama administration.

So you think Trump's Twitter account is fake, and someone else is making those posts? Or that video clip of the President's press conference that was posted on Twitter was doctored? Or do you think the NBC News video clip I linked to on the NBC Twitter page is a forgery of some sort and wasn't actually aired on NBC News? Interesting.

You need to realize that some people put more weight in information they see coming from primary sources (i.e. a video, a statement from the President's own verified Twitter account, etc.), rather than blindly trusting every sensationalist angle of a story being pushed by a activist journalists or corporate news outlets that swirling the drain financially and are desperate for clicks/views.

Obviously you trust the latter more than the primary sources, but that's your prerogative. I am more skeptical than that.

    Now you are getting somewhere.

Trump is not a source of factual information. He had an extensive career of lies, corruption and fraud. He is a pathological liar, from the 1970s, the US Department of Justice successfully sued him for racial discrimination, to his Birtherism lies, to his fraudulent University, his fake charity, to the size of the Inauguration crowd, having lied or misrepresented the facts more than 10,000 times since inauguration. His tweets are often false narratives fed to him from people like Steven Miller, Steve Bannon, Alex Jones and Fox News.

Trump is a fraud and a conman. Sadly, you believe his every word.

He said that thousands and thousands of black people have called the White House to support his statements about Baltimore.

Not a shred of evidence was given

Sort of reminds me of Sarah Sanders when she said she talked with hundreds of FBI people who supported the WH firing of James Comey. She later admitted she talked with no one.

Sanders is under fire for one lie in particularOne of the lies detailed by Mueller is notable because it indicates Sanders lies about lying. The story begins in May 2017, on the heels of Trump firing then-FBI Director James Comey — a move Trump quickly (and perhaps for him regrettably) admitted was about his frustrations over the FBI’s active investigation of his campaign.

In order to shield Trump from obstruction allegations, Sanders during a press briefing offered a different rationale for Comey’s firing. She said that “countless members of the FBI” had contacted her to say they had lost confidence in Comey, the implication being that Trump was merely acting in response to the wishes of FBI rank-and-file when he decided to fire him.

Even at the time, Sanders’s claim about Comey not having the support of the FBI agents was implausible. It was almost immediately contradicted during congressional testimony by Comey’s successor, Andrew McCabe, and as the exchange in the below video indicates, reporters made it clear during a press briefing that they didn’t buy what she was trying to sell them.

Mueller's report said Sarah Huckabee Sanders told investigators she made comments to reporters that were "not founded on anything."

When the time came for Sanders to be interviewed under oath by investigators working for the special counsel, her story suddenly changed. She told the special counsel’s team that her comment about FBI agents contacting her to express concerns about Comey was actually a “slip of the tongue” that was not based on anything. So she acknowledged pushing a falsehood to Mueller’s team, but said it was just an accident.

Since the report, Sanders stuck to the “slip of the tongue” excuse

    Another of Trump's "fine people"

Man drops his pants in front of Hispanic family during bizarre racist meltdown: ‘Go back to your country!’

The 58-year-old Rollins allegedly went outside his home, pulled down his pants in front of a neighbor family, including their 3-year-old child, and verbally harassed them.

“Go back to Mexico,” Rollins said, according to witnesses. “Go back to your country.”

    ---

Witnesses said the incident escalated throughout the day, and Rollins called a neighbor woman a “Spanish b*tch” and threatened to set her on fire and burn her home.

Did anyone see those teeter totters on the news. They stick them through the spaces in the wall/fence at the US/Mex border and kids are teeter tottering with each other on opposite sides, in separate countries. I thought wow how cool.

Trump offers to pardon aides for laws broken in rush to build border wall – report
Trump orders officials to ignore environmental rules and ‘take the land’ it needs to build a wall along US-Mexico border
Donald Trump has reportedly told aides he will pardon them for any laws they might break to build a wall along the US-Mexico border as he rushes to get hundreds of miles of fencing erected before the 2020 election.

The president has ordered officials to ignore environmental rules, fast-track construction contracts valued at billions of dollars and “take the land” needed by eminent domain, according to the Washington Post.

Trump also suggested he will pardon them for any laws broken in the process, allegedly telling aides: “Don’t worry, I’ll pardon you.”

“He said people expected him to build a wall, and it had to be done by the election,” a former official told the newspaper, which spoke to current and former officials working on the wall.
