The MacEwan Student Psychology Network have been working hard to bring Yvette d'Entremont, also known as SciBabe, in to speak on critical thinking and pseudoscience in social media. They have finally got all the details worked out and have announced she'll be speaking here on February 10th at the Kule Theatre, MacEwan City Centre Campus.

SciBabe, also known as Yvette d'Entremont, will be at MacEwan to share her wisdom on critical thinking and combating pseudoscience in the age of social media.

Yvette d’Entremont launched scibabe.com in fall of 2014, debunking all the BS she could find on the internet with a combination of real science and dirty jokes. The combination took off to a roaring start, and the site had a few viral successes early. Her first professional piece of writing, “The Food Babe Blogger Is Full of ****,” went massively viral and launched her into a full time career in science communication. She's continued to focus on debunking bad science mainly in alternative medicine, nutrition, and agricultural sciences. Her first book, SciBabe's Ten Rules to BS Detection, is expected to be released in 2017.
Tickets are $10 or $50 VIP with meet and greet.
