Default Second Cup stores now selling Italian Centre baked goods

I'm not really a fan of Second Cup, but this is a very good move on their part:

EDMONTON — If you’re tired of coffee shop baked goods that have been factory-made, frozen and re-heated, a recent change at Second Cup will have you jumping for joy.

The coffee chain has partnered with locally-owned and operated Italian Centre to serve fresh baked goods at its 40-plus stores in the Edmonton-area.

The menu includes locally-sourced ingredients such as eggs from a local Hutterite farm and flour milled in Alberta. Fresh-baked goods will be delivered to Second Cup stores daily.

Some of the menu offerings include: Italian biscotti, Nutella fudge brownies, almond croissants, mini lemon poppyseed loaves, cinnamon rolls, as well as a selection of tarts, cookies, muffins, and bagels.
I wish that more chains would follow Second Cup's lead here. Locally baked is always better!

Total about face. All their goods used to be from the Bee Bell Bakery. When Bee Bell lost the contact a few years ago it was partly responsible for their demise. Oh well, great for Italian Centre.

I very vaguely remember that. What made it a fiasco?
