NAIT could be updated. I don't believe the Ralph Klein southern campus is still going through... and I believe the Souch addition is done.

Would be neat to see a link to each construction projects thread...

Nice work. The "Hilton Garden Inn" on 95th Street should be edited, though -- the renderings are now quite different, and the project is now just known as "The Quarters Hotel" until they can find a hotelier willing to commit to it...

Fantastic job, Edmcowboy. 240 - may want to update the SSP version to this.

You can probably get rid of the Urbia towers, considering Fox is now for that site.

Maybe put developments like RK East, Glenora Skyline, and the Pearl closer to the top of their respective section consdiering they're under construction or should soon be.

Amazing job on this thread! Just a small change, #3 has the St and Ave reversed.

And this thread should be sticky'd!

    Default 87 Avenue/Webber Greens Development

Can anyone tell me what all is going into the development along 87 Avenue/Webber Greens across from Lewis Farms transit station?

As it sits right now there is a Sobeys but they are prepping adjacent sites for further development.

    Thanks,

A CIBC and an RBC bank are currently under construction. A petro-canada gas station will be built to the east. North of Sobie's, a liquor store and Shopper's Drug Mart are coming in. Later, there'll be restaurant(s), fast food, cafe, etc. And after that there'll be office and residential units.

If you google search "West Henday Promenade" you'll find sketches of the overall site plan.

So I've walked past this building on 106th and 103rd a few times over the last couple weeks, and I'm curious if anyone knows anything about it. Does anyone know anything about this sale or if it's protected as part of the warehouse district? It has so much potential with some proper infrastructure on the street front.

I think that the floorplate for the above ground office portion was around 20,000 square feet. I don't really recall how much of the site it occupied. It's been a few months since I looked at preliminary plans. It was tendered a week or two ago, but we didn't take a closer look.

Well, the Glenora Skyline thread is closed, so I'll just post this here. I have heard through the grapevine that wheels are already turning on a "prominent development group" looking to joint venture with a non-bank lender to acquire and complete the project. Whether anything comes of that, who knows. I also saw mention that Alex Davidoff has listed his home in Crestwood for sale.

Interesting placement of Edmonton on this list: RSMeans Construction Material and Installation Costs - Largest Cities in the U.S. and Canada - April 2014

"A bustling energy sector in Alberta is propelling Calgary and Edmonton to leadership roles in many of the nation’s most important economic indicators (e.g., high employment growth and low jobless rates). They’ve also acquired frontrunner status in a comparison of upwardly mobile construction material costs."

Makes sense. They are finishing up other projects. What else has Regency got going on?

Also the Westmount site they bought from Prism. I was under the impression that was next, and/or another site they had outside of downtown with a mid-rise.

At 1:28 in this video Simon O'Byrne mentions a(nother?) major tower being proposed downtown.

Well it would be really nice if a new player to Edmonton is the one thinking of this other tower, I would very much hope that it could go onto one of the empty properties in the core. My vote is the empty parking lot on Jasper ave and 107st.

We do very much need more out of market players still to drive new product, innovation, competition and better design.

According to the Alberta government website (who knows how accurate it is), its shows the Fox Towers (plural) at $42 million.

For comparison, they have the Ultima at $65 million, I knew stucco was cheap but damn that's a nice cost savings

Hmm... that seems really low. this report by the Downtown Business Association says the Fox towers will cost $160 million:
