Overview: Join us as we explore regional growth strategies from three unique perspectives. A developer, a municipal planner, and a government official will discuss the strategies used to manage Ontario's growth and how these groups worked (or didn't work) together. What issues arose? How did they address the "disconnect" between the major players? And what are the key lessons learned.

This event will be of interest to planning professionals, government officials & administrators, developers & citizens concerned with regional growth/planning.

    Speakers:
Neil Rodgers, former President UDI Ontario, (VP of Tribute Communities); Jason Thorne, formerly with the Ontario Growth Secretariat and Metrolinx, (now with Planning Alliance); Kevin Curtis, Planning, Housing and Community Services, Regional Municipality of Waterloo & moderator Greg Christenson, President, Christenson Developments.

Sponsors: The City of Edmonton (Planning and Development Department), the University of Alberta, Brownlee LLP, and County of Leduc.
