Guidelines & Forum Etiquette

Connect2Edmonton ascribes to the best practices of ethical, practical, high-functioning online communities. Our C2E Guidelines are recommended, our C2E Rules are required; members should be acquainted with both. After registration, please take a minute to review the Guidelines and Rules section of the website.

Spread the Word!

Since C2E does not have a global advertising budget, the primary way we grow our community is by having current members introduce C2E to friends and family by e-mail.

Member Map

Our Google-powered member map allows you to add your location to the map as long as you fill out the "latitude" and "longitude" fields in your Member Profile. This may be as vague or precise as you choose. We’re also working on some added functionality that will provide aggregate data on our members (e.g. the number of countries where we have members, the number of members outside of Greater Edmonton or Canada, etc.).

We’re also contemplating ways this map could help connect people, so that someone going to Cairo or Oslo, for business or leisure, could potentially e-mail local members. Of course, we encourage our non-Edmonton members to stay connected with Edmonton by contacting our many members in Greater Edmonton. Mark your spot on the map!
