^ Yeah I knew Valerie returned after recovering from her brain cancer surgery but she hasn't been on the air recently. Hopefully she's just on holidays or something, and is still OK.

The opening post listed all local reporters so I assumed that's what this thread is about.

But you are correct there is no indication this was only about Edmonton reporters. In that case add CBC's meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe to the list. Maybe I have a thing for glasses.

SonicDeathMonkey... I think people are pretty critical. Even if a person has 99% positive qualities... They'll spot the 1% thats bad and stick on that. It's sad...

I give all those anchors really great credit. I've taken a tour of their station and behind the scenes, their work is pretty intense...

I've gotten interviewed a few times by paper and tv guys and they really work hard to bring us great content day after day.

It'd break my heart if I saw any of them lose their jobs because of a few posts like Howie's and Sonicdeathmonkey's.

Let see have you noticed that when ever AC covers those overseas stories he always seems to wear the TIGHTEST black t-shirts he can possibly find..
Dresses more for a Friday night in a dance club in Tribeca or the Meatpacking District (pun intended) rather than covering breaking news stories....Gotta show off those guns ya know...LOL.

^Well, my thinking is he wears those black t-shirts because they are practical. Anderson likes to get right in the thick of it. Black does not show the dirt as much, like when he is in war torn areas or covering earthquakes. He probably buys black t-shirts made of a material that holds it's shape, something he can rinse in the hotel bathroom, dry out fast and still look good. As for his abs, if you've got it, flaunt it

I don't buy it. When your in a hot climate (Haiti for instance) wearing something that tight just makes you sweat more and feel hotter, Look at how the Haitians dress, nothing nearly as tight as Andersons second skin t's and those are people aclimatieed to the heat and humidity.

When they had CNN down covering the quake devastation Anderson started a trend with other CNN staffers starting to go the tight t route as well The New York times even did a an article on the "phenom" Dr SAnjay Gupta and a few others followed suit but Anderson carried it off the best.
I thought it was quite ironic watching all these US reporters strutting around in tight shirts and jeans while reporting on the human misery around them
Will CNN now ship Anderson to Sendai in Japan to cover the quake/tsunami devastation in his tight clothes..........Stay tuned.

The boy is buff and yes he likes to show it off. Looks good in a suit too I might ad.

Your missing my point.......Perhaps Haiti was a poor example but if you have seen how people in most tropical countries dress it generally does NOT consist of a cotton/spandex/lycra blend tight T-shirt.

Does that work for you? And I will not disagree with the choice of Andersons taste or stylists tastes either.

They'll spot the 1% thats bad and stick on that. It's sad... I give all those anchors really great credit. I've taken a tour of their station and behind the scenes, their work is pretty intense... I've gotten interviewed a few times by paper and tv guys and they really work hard to bring us great content day after day. It'd break my heart if I saw any of them lose their jobs because of a few posts like Howie's and Sonicdeathmonkey's.
