EDMONTON — Spit happens. Just ask the man wanted for a homicide in Edmonton who got some unwanted attention from Calgary police officers by spitting in a public place.

We have a spitting bylaw, we just don't enforce it (say it isn't so lol!).

The idling bylaw has been tabled for a year BTW.

Spitting in a public place is not included in Edmonton's community standards bylaw.

I hope E-town puts in a similar bylaw. Some days, walking on downtown sidewalks is like trying to navigate through a giant spittoon.
