I thought some people here might find the many articles and photos hidden behind Jetsetmodern's links very inspiring....
Kunkle created a great and now very old, old website: http://www.jetsetmodern.com/architecture.htm Loads more in his links - scroll down for cars, telephones, interiors, endangered architecture, etc. http://www.jetsetmodern.com/sitemap.htm - |

Yes, like a lot of old architecture, it was pretty good in its day. You have to look beyond the obvious and see it in the context of its time.
It was one of the first websites I could find compiling such images, detail and backgrounders on it's theme and on threatened and rare architecture, design and products. Moreover, like stories on aeroplane (aero modern) design are now impossible to find on the internet - early internet enthusiasts posted a lot of cool stuff. (On aero - there's one old house on Ada Boulevard looks like that design to me). Last edited by KC; 10-08-2012 at 12:17 PM.. |
