How do they bankrupt every host city? The only really badly financed games were Montreal, London is expecting to make a small profit overall when taking tourist revenue etc. into consideration and they now have world class facilities in an area that was rotting away.

Athens got dinged up pretty hard too, and now has a ton of unused sporting infrastructure that is falling apart due to lack of use and funds. My care meter isn't particularly high, but I do think that the IOC is a traveling succubus, vacuuming up money wherever it is to be found.

Only 4 years later, most of Beijing's facilities are unused and have started rotting, too.
