Default Best Spa in Edmonton?

I'm looking to purchase a spa package as a Christmas gift for a hardworking student. I've read some really crummy reviews: loud "boom boom" music blaring, dirty linens, rude staff, over-billing, rushed.....

Where can you find a clean, tranquil spa with skilled staff and honest service?

I don't know if you'll get any better recommendations here than you would from websites that specialize in reviews. Try something positively reviewed on TripAdvisor, perhaps...

I've been happy with Eveline Charles, but they're pretty pricey.

I'm going to be trying the European Institute of Esthetics later this week. You have the choice of having a student (cheaper) or instructor (more expensive but still cheaper than Eveline Charles) do the work. I couldn't find any online reviews but a friend went and was happy with the service. Their price list is here: http://www.europeaninstituteofesthet...cemenu-web.pdf

My wife loves the Ahava Day Spa in the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel.

I love Carrie'l Salon and Spa on 100 Avenue between 114-115 Street. Great service, great atmosphere, and great staff.

I've always liked the Board Room, which has now changed from a men's spa to a unisex spa.

Any good spa alternatives for guys besides the Board Room? Not just a hair place, but somewhere for a guy to get a pedicure or a waxing.

I love Life-Stiles. Its on 124th, I don't think I have ever been cared for, or pampered as much as when I treat myself or am treated to this spa. My husband also goes to this spa.I always keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Another cute spa, with reasonable rates , is Focus on You.

^ Thanks, Life-Stiles looks promising. Less pricey than Board Room.

Fine if you have all sorts of time because they are learning, so things have to be checked and rechecked. I have been there, it took forever to get my hair done.I prefer one person, and no stopping, looking & checking etc. Each to their own
Good luck

My wife can't stand all the spas up here with their recently graduate Marvel College staff. Her and I go to Seattle, downtown Nordstroms's spa. That place will blow your mind!!!!!!

^ Good for you, but the title thread specifies "Best Spa in Edmonton"

Has she tried the all? wow , lucky lady.
The one I go to has had the same staff for over 5 years.

Don't think she's tried them all, but has given up years ago to the inadequate level of service received. Cheaper and better in the States....bottom line.

What is cheaper and better? You can get cheap here, the products in any good spa are the same .I have a facial wherever we travel, if I am there for any length of time I can't say one is better than the others Plus if she hasn't tried them all in Edmonton, how would she know that we don't have great ones here. I was cruising on the QE2. The facial was overpriced, the service was very good, but the products were the same, just with a fancier name. I'll contune with where I go, and save the gas.
