I am not sure why its in the news that ETS is now mobile... I have had the Edmonton Transit mobile app on my iPhone since January...

This is not a app. This is a mobile site that opens nicely in safari or any smartphone browser, without the need for an app.

A nice touch is the photos showing you what the stop actually looks like.

^ I have found the stop photos useful for all sorts of things since I moved to Edmonton, including getting some idea of when to get off the bus. I use it less now that I have Google Streetview.

google maps "directions" feature does this quite nicely as well
