Default It Gets Better

I know there are some queer people who post here, so I thought I'd let them (and everyone else) know about the act I'm bringing in for Race Week as host/mc of Angie Pontani's Burlesque-A-Pades 2012.

Murray Hill, reportedly, is somewhat of an icon in the gay community, at least in New York, and he's part of the Dan Savage "it gets better" campaign.

This is the second year we've brought Murray (and Angie Pontani) in from NYC. The way the schedule worked out, he's free Friday evening and night, and we wanted to take him out somewhere. I was thinking "The Junction", but I have no idea what it's like there.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

I dunno, the Junction can be very hit-or-miss; good on a specific theme night (drag show, quarterly bear party) but other times can be fairly quiet. TBH I go out so infrequently now I don't know why I'm even opining

You could always do the circuit; Junction, Flash, then check out Buddys/Woodys on 117th... if the goal is to keep it Gay.

Thanks for the tips. We'll see what Murray wants to do.

Cheers.

Junction is more the neighbourhood pub style, good food, quieter unless there is a special event. Flash and Buddy's are dance clubs and Woody's is not nice enough to be a lounge, also more like a neighbourhood bar.
