Well the Edmonton Queen is tiny compared to this, and it's still actually used quite a bit, but I like this idea a lot.

That would be very cool to have to coincide with various events around the city on the river.

a literal link between the Legislature grounds and Kinsmen park. A big swimming pool/skating rink floating stationary on the river

it would be nice if the river had some flow control (weir) in order that the Queen could be used throughout the valley. (whether at anchor or under engines)
