2005 Pontiac Sunfire. Need a new front driver's side seat. Cloth, no air bag.
Where can I go to get a new one AND have it installed? I called Pick n Pull, but they won't install it for me, even if I paid extra. The dealership wants to just replace the part and that means obscene labor costs.

^removal and install of a seat is easy peasy... 4 bolts. If you have a socket set or can access one it will take you 10mins max. Seat belt stuff bolt as well, but be sure to keep its bolt et al assembly the same as you take it off.

Information appreciated, but I want to know if there's any place that will do that for me.

I think you've got a couple choices on this one... go to the dealer and and pay the big bucks for a brand new seat, installed, go to an independent shop (pick any.. they'll all be able to do it) and have them source and install you a used seat for which they will also charge you for materials and labor (cue Homer Simpson reference here) or go to pick & pull, which should have plenty of that model year Sunfires, pull the seat out and put it in yourself, or pull it out then take it to a shop and pay to get it installed.
I know what I'd do... but then again I have my own fully equipped shop and lots of experience at that kind of stuff.

Again, I'm not asking about DIY options. I'm not sure why people are giving me DIY info when I've made it clear it's not what I am looking for.
Not that I don't appreciate the well-meaningness of said responses, but they don't give me the a seer I'm looking for. Entirely incorrect. And may I commend your obviously high-level reading comprehension. A man of your cunning and grace must surely be a senator or poet of great repute.

When I was fixing up a previous vehicle that needed parts from an auto-wrecker, I just threw the people working there a few extra bucks on top of the cost of the used part, and they installed it for me...
Mind you these were used parts, not new.. |

Spent a while in the Auto Recycling Business in another life... There are several places that should be able to help you out if they have a used seat you are happy with in stock. 1) City Auto 780-440-1100 2) Jasper Auto Parts 780-468-6655 3) Rodway Auto Parts 780-433-1402 4) Advance Auto Parts 780-447-3588 5) Central Auto Parts 780-447-1767 It's been awhile and I'm going by memory but the phone numbers should be correct. All are recyclers that installed the parts they sold. BTW all listed are full service, they remove the part for you, worst case you might need to buy the seat in one place and get it installed in another...any auto shop would be able to, expect a 1-2hr R and R Hope that helps |

I actually ended up going to pick n pull with my father, who did the replacement. Thanks for all the replies though.
@ Thomas Hinderks: I'm keeping that list for the future. Thanks again.

...out of Thomas' list...Central has always treated me well. They also install. Labour is about $80/hr if I recall....
I do my own work on the winter truck, but they do have a good selection of late model parts as I found out on my newer car...
