In your opinion, what political party do the mayor's and the councillors' political beliefs put them in? This is what I got, so far:

Linda Sloan was a Liberal MLA in her previous life. And as a former SUN columnist, Diotte must have been a PC at some point.

I think that it's good to see different political stripes on city council. What's most important is that we see co-operation among our council members. What I like about the recent councils is that each councillor has committee responsibilities, and that ward councillors are more focused on the city rather than their own ward.

Lokin likely NDP due to his previous stint as a Civic Union president
Mandel likley PC but he can change his political stripes to advance his agenda. Batty likely PC. |

Mandel is Liberal. Not PC.
Bryan Anderson is mostly likely NDP. Wouldn't Don Iveson be Alberta Party?

You're probably right about Diotte's political affiliations, though I wouldn't draw an automatic connection between "Sun columnist" and "right wing". Eddie Keen and Dave Billington were both Sun columnists, and I'm pretty sure neither was PC. And Warren Kinsella, a Liberal strategist, currently writes for the Sun as well.

What do you mean by your second and third point? I think I understand what is meant by "political freedom", I'm just not sure how the WRA promotes that more than any other party does. And I'm kind of lost on the third point. Do you just mean that they would be dictatorial? |

Doesn't the whole CCA thing make Caterina and Wild Rose perfect matches?
