If the mayor wants more boats build a marina that caters to boats that are suitable for the river

Yeah, a proper docking place would definitely be a welcome addition to the rivervalley. But we do have a start, as last year I was involved in the project that brought a dock to LM park. It isn't very large, but it serves the city's current needs. I hope that eventually it'll grow to be similar to Winnipeg's marina at the forks.

That's really cool... I would love to see something like that built here in the city for people wanting to use the river. Where would something like this be built?

I would love to see a marina and more life on the water, but I think weirs or dredging are required first. The water level varies so much and it's not very deep in some places. At some times in the year, you could almost walk across the river. I remember when I used to row and dragon boat, the boat would often scrape bottom, right in the middle of the river. And these are small boats with less than 12" of draft.

Louise mckinney park would probably be the obvious choice. Or integrated in to a new development at the rossdale power plant. Emily murphy park area might also be a decent spot.

It would likely have to be located on the inside of a turn in the river to avoid scouring
