Growing up in Elk Point in northeastern Alberta, Billie Milholland spent many of her childhood days playing along the North Saskatchewan River.

For a little girl growing up on its banks, the major prairie watercourse was alive with both mystery and history.

Now, a half century later, she has joined a handful of local folks on a mission to create a North Saskatchewan River museum so that others can unravel its past and explore its future.

They've banded together to found the North Saskatchewan River Museum Society, and they're looking for members and like-minded supporters to see their dream come to fruition.

A very interesting initiative. Perhaps the Epcor site in Rossdale for this museum??
