Mandel by a long shot hopefully, and all those who complain about Mandel not being an effective mayor will shut up for another 2-3 years, not pay attention for a few more years, then read one article by K.D. (not lang) and think Mandel's still a horrible mayor who hasn't done anything right (cause K.D. says so!)

GO MANDEL GO. The best choice (the only choice in my mind) for mayor of this city.

Perhaps a better poll would have been who would be runner up and what percentage that candidate would receive.

I'm guessing around 71% for Mandel and 13% Lefaivre with the rest in change.

Let's do the math:

70% for Mandel X 30% voter turnout = Mandel chosen by 21% of eligible voters.

Don't get me wrong, I like Mandel for Mayor but I think that if we get a 30% voter turnout, we'll get some councillors getting elected by 15% (30% X 50% majority) of eligible voters. If an average ward has 90,000 voters, all they need is about 14,000 votes.

Moral of the story: Get out and vote.

The poll looks like Kevin O'Connel's pinky that traces the weather map.
