The Gold Coast's new “G:Link” trams have been unveiled.

The blue and yellow Bombardier FLEXITY2 trams will be able to carry 309 passengers – 229 of whom would be standing.
The vehicles can reach a top speed of 70 km/h, but GoldlinQ says their average speed will be 23 km/h.


The first stage of the Gold Coast tram route will feature 16 stations, with the line running from Gold Coast University Hospital to Broadbeach South. GoldlinQ expects the entire journey to take about 37 minutes.

Ah, the Gold Coast; I only spent a little bit of my vacation there, but I still remember how beautiful it is; :sigh: :)
