Possible?

Possible, but not probable. They add a lot of visual clutter to a thread, add to loading times, and are a security risk.

I am not 100% opposed to having any kind of unique identifiers for our members however. Any other suggestions for this?

Considering the virus issues that have been happening with images over the past few months I would vote against it for the time being.

Okay, in an effort to allow for members to customize their own posts, we have re-instated signatures. These signatures are not the same as typical signatures however.. they have been moved to the side under the user name, and the maximum length has been shortened to try to ensure readability.

All old signatures have been deleted from all users to allow for the generation of new signatures that fit the new maximum length and location. The signatures will now be included and shown in every post automatically regardless of whether or not the user has chosen for it to be turned on. Also all prevous and future posts will carry the signature you have assigned.

This probably isn't as good as Avatars, but it does allow for more unique expression. Hope this helps.

Thanx. Had no idea avatars were "an issue".
