The City is inviting neighbourhoods and residents to participate in the following. Please pass it along to anyone who may be interested in participating in either of the following. Thank you!

Neighbourhood Engagement Strategy

The Neighbourhood Engagement Strategy (NES) committee is inviting interested residents, organizations, community groups, faith and cultural groups and businesses to a workshop on March 10, 2012. The workshop will assist community groups to engage in projects to strengthen and enhance their neighbourhoods through the use of asset building strategies (i.e. the NES toolkit). Funding is available for qualified projects, and the application deadline for funding is on April 30, 2012.

Please encourage everyone to learn more and attend the workshop (poster attached). Visit our website at http://www.edmonton.ca/for_residents/neighbourhoods/neighbourhood-engagement.aspx for more information on the NES and to download the funding application form.

I'd like to propose a community garden for the "surplus" school sites in Blue Quill.
