My current lease is up this summer. I want to find a place that accepts dogs(small ones - miniature dachshund)

Its definetely not as easy as I thought.... I've had one suggestion, the Grand Central Manor on 109th, just wondering if there were any other downtown locations that you guys/gals know of?

ps: preferably between 101st and 120st - jasper ave area

Hi,
I am new to this site, posted a subject today as well. When you do find out jasper avenue and appartment dogs allowed, could you please let me know? I a moving from montreal to edmonton, and have the same dog as you have, but cant seem to find an appartment for the dog.

I know many apartments are getting fussy on animals. The Pinnacle at one time allowed pets, but I am not sure now.

Other than that...it is hard to find pet friendly anywhere. One suggestion, ask a landlord if they are willing to take a higher DD....

I know how you feel. We had to give up our mini dachshund when we had to move into an apartment. If I were you I would try the smaller owner operator apartments. They may be willing to bend the rules where as the bigger places won't. Either that or rent a house.

I've always subscribed to the "it's easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission" school of finding pet friendly accomodation.

Most places ban pets in theory, but it's rare to get evicted unless your pet is a complete yappy pee spraying nightmare.

Apparently the Boardwalk allow dogs in some of their apartment buildings. They are the biggest renter in Edmonton.

Hello!

I just saw the postings of people looking for a place to rent in downtown Edmonton. We have a house in Riverdale - which is downtown but in the rivervalley. We are renting the main floor - 2 bedrooms. We prefer to rent to people with dogs, as we love dogs and know how hard it is to find a place to rent with a dog!

Please see our website with photos and more info at http://members.shaw.ca/riverdalehouse

or email us at [email protected]

Hi Sassy,

Great info, thank you.

I have taken the liberty of adding this to the Pet Friendly Landlords Sticky in the Ask Ed section.
